I won’t be traveling to DC this weekend for the Women’s March on Washington, but I was thinking of my sisters who are going when I came up with this playlist. This is righteous road trip music. You will sing and sometimes scream these songs. You may even shed a tear or two. But I’ve engineered explicit fun here. I’ll forgo my usual intros because you know these folks. I’ll just include the state they live in or hail from, the artist, the song, a video, and a Spotify playlist. For those just tuning in, these playlists are my attempt to show the world the creative musical genius of Southern women and non-binary and trans Southerners.
Safe travels, sisters. My heart is with you.
